Hiking

The Cape to Cape walk, Western Australia

A hike in the South West of WA over a variety of terrains ranging from soft sandy coastal dunes, along cliffs outlooking to the Indian Ocean, Karri forests and Margaret River region farmland. Its starts and finishes at lighthouses at the tips of Cape Naturalist and Cape Leeuwin.

How many days: 5

Length: 135km

Accomodation: Tents

How to get there: We drove to the northern cape and then got a lift from my dad to the southern cape. I do not recommend South to North because even though the guide book says signage is great in both directions…it’s not.

Feeling: Like you are walking on the edge of the Earth. Following sheer cliffs into an ocean. Walking on beaches in one direction for 5 days does make you feel a little lopsided by the end.
